Comic Market — Comiket — is the world's largest self-published comics (doujinshi) fair: tens of thousands of fan-made manga, games and goods, a hall of company booths from anime and game publishers, and one of the biggest cosplay gatherings anywhere. Comic Market 109, the winter event, runs December 29–31, 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight.
Background
Comiket has been held twice a year since the 1970s, each August and December. For C109 the East 4–6 halls of Tokyo Big Sight are closed for renovation, so the event uses the East, West and South halls without them.
Getting there
Kokusai-Tenjijo Station on the Rinkai Line (7 min walk) or Tokyo Big Sight Station on the Yurikamome line (3 min walk). Extra trains and buses run on event days. Do not come by car, bike or taxi — there is no parking.

Tips
- Circle (fan booth) areas are open 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM; company booths stay open until 5:00 PM on days 1 and 2.
- Entry needs a ticket or wristband. Afternoon-entry wristbands cost ¥440 in advance from Animate, Toranoana and Melonbooks, or ¥1,000 on the day outside the venue.
- Queuing overnight or arriving the day before is banned. Arriving after noon means far shorter lines.
- Most circles sell for cash only — bring plenty of ¥1,000 notes and ¥100 coins.
