Hiroshima German Christmas Market is a small, three-day market at Motomachi CRED, with handmade wooden huts, German food and a felt-figure nativity scene.
Background
It was started in 2015 by Stephan Ballin, a German who had lived in Hiroshima for nearly 15 years and missed the markets back home; he built the wooden huts himself. The organizing committee includes the Hiroshima–Hanover Friendship Association (the two are sister cities), and 2025 drew more than 15,000 visitors.

Motomachi CRED is in central Hiroshima next to Kencho-mae Station on the Astram Line; the Kamiyacho tram stops are a short walk away.
