The Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo fills the west end of Odori Park with about 30 stalls selling Glühwein, German food and Christmas goods, held alongside the Sapporo White Illumination. Admission is free.

Background

The market started in 2002 as part of the sister-city exchange between Sapporo and Munich; 2025 was its 24th edition. It is organized by the Sapporo White Illumination executive committee, with the Sapporo Tourism Association running the office.
