Background
The Takato-kohigan variety, a natural cross unique to this castle site, was formally recognized and named at an international cherry blossom symposium held here in 1990, cementing the park's reputation as one of Japan's three great cherry blossom spots (Nihon San-dai Sakura Meisho).
Getting there
About a 30-minute bus ride from JR Ina-shi Station; the park sits on a hillside, so expect walking uphill from the bus stop.
