Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the world's biggest custom car shows: tuned JDM cars, body kits, racing teams and new-model reveals from Japanese carmakers, filling every hall of Makuhari Messe plus the outdoor area. Tokyo Auto Salon 2027 runs January 15–17, 2027.
Background
Tokyo Auto Salon grew out of the Japanese tuning scene and is now the traditional start of the car-show year in Japan, with manufacturers using it to unveil sporty and motorsport models. Spin-off shows are held abroad, including in Bangkok and Malaysia.

Makuhari Messe is about 5 min walk from Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the JR Keiyo Line (about 30 min from Tokyo Station). Use public transport — the organizers ask visitors not to drive.

- Friday January 15 is a business day; the public can enter from 2:00 PM (until 7:00 PM). Saturday runs 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
