Disney Christmas is the winter special event at both Tokyo Disney Resort parks, with Christmas trees, decorations, seasonal shows and a Christmas fireworks display each night. In 2026 it runs from November 11 to December 25 at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Tokyo Disneyland debuts a new parade set in Santa's toy factory, and Tokyo DisneySea dresses its tree in "Jubilee Blue" for the park's 25th anniversary.

Background

Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 and Tokyo DisneySea in 2001, and both parks run a Christmas special event every winter that ends on December 25. The shows and decorations are refreshed from year to year. The 2026 season overlaps with Tokyo DisneySea's 25th anniversary celebration, Sparkling Jubilee, which runs until March 31, 2027.

Getting there

Maihama Station on the JR Keiyo Line is about 15 minutes from Tokyo Station by rapid train. Tokyo Disneyland's entrance is a short walk from the station. For Tokyo DisneySea, take the Disney Resort Line monorail (a separate fare) from Resort Gateway Station, next to Maihama Station, to Tokyo DisneySea Station.

Tips

• Park tickets are date- and park-specific and sold online only up to two months ahead: each day at 2:00 PM Japan time, tickets go on sale for the same date two months later. That means December 25 tickets open on October 25, 2026.
• Ticket sales stop without notice once a day's allocation is sold, so Christmas weekends and December 24–25 can sell out. Sold-out tickets are sometimes released again.
• At Tokyo Disneyland, the new Christmas parade runs once a day (about 45 minutes), and Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights switches to a Christmas version. A designated viewing area for the new parade is available through paid Disney Premier Access.
• At Tokyo DisneySea, Disney Christmas Greeting brings Mickey, Duffy and Santa Claus onto Mediterranean Harbor by boat, twice a day for about 15 minutes.
• Both parks have Starbright Christmas, a 5-minute fireworks show set to Christmas music once each night. It can be cancelled when winds are strong.
• Seasonal versions of two attractions run longer than the event: Haunted Mansion "Holiday Nightmare" (September 15, 2026 to January 7, 2027) and Country Bear Theater "Jingle Bell Jamboree" (November 1, 2026 to January 16, 2027). Christmas menus go on sale from November 1 and merchandise from November 10.
