Yoru no Yo is Yokohama's winter night event on the waterfront: light and projection displays around the Osanbashi international passenger terminal, Yamashita Park and the surrounding harbour area, lit each evening through most of December. In 2026 it runs December 4–30, 5:00–9:05 PM, and is free.

Background

Launched after Yokohama was named one of Japan's 'new three great night views,' the campaign consolidates illuminations that individual venues had already been running independently, giving the waterfront a single seasonal identity.

Getting there

Minato Mirai Station (Minatomirai Line) or Sakuragicho Station (JR Negishi Line / Yokohama Municipal Subway) both put you within a 10-minute walk of the main venues.

Tips

• 2026 dates: December 4–30, 5:00–9:05 PM, free. The main sites are Osanbashi Pier and Yamashita Park, a short walk apart along the harbour.
• The event runs on 100% renewable electricity, according to the organizers.
• Combine it with the Red Brick Warehouse Christmas market, a 10–15 minute walk along the waterfront.
