- Admission ¥2,500 from Oct 17 to Nov 20 and ¥3,000 from Nov 21 to Dec 22 and Dec 26 to Feb 28, when bought in advance at a FamilyMart or 7-Eleven; tickets bought at the gate cost ¥200 more. Every ticket includes a ¥1,000 voucher for food and shops inside the park plus entry to the Begonia Garden. Children below elementary-school age go free. Dec 23–25 is an evening-only Christmas opening (from 3pm) that needs a date-specific advance ticket; gate tickets (¥5,500) are sold only if any remain.

Nabana no Sato blankets a flower park on the Kiso Sansen river delta in millions of LED lights, anchored by a walk-through tunnel of light and a huge illuminated wisteria motif reflected in a central pond.
Background
Opened by the Nagashima Onsen resort group, the illumination began as a modest garden lighting event and has grown into one of the largest in the Tokai region, regularly drawing well over a million visitors across a single season.
Getting there
Take the Kintetsu Nagoya Line from Kintetsu Nagoya Station to Kintetsu Nagashima Station — about 25 minutes by semi-express or local train, as most express trains skip Nagashima — then the direct bus to the park (about 10 minutes, ¥230 one way). Direct buses also run from Nagoya's Meitetsu Bus Center in about 30 minutes. By car it is about 30 minutes from Nagoya via the Isewangan Expressway (Wangan Nagashima IC), with free parking for 5,700 cars, but Route 1 and the Higashi-Meihan Expressway jam on the way home.
Tips
- Buy your ticket in advance at a FamilyMart or 7-Eleven and print it there. It is ¥200 cheaper than at the gate, lets you walk straight in, and the gate counter can take 30 minutes or more to issue tickets on busy nights.
- The 200-metre tunnel of light is the signature photo spot, and the water illumination on the central pond is the centrepiece. The lights switch on at sunset, so the start time shifts through the season, and the show goes ahead in the rain — wet paths reflect the lights.
- Crowds peak around lighting-up time. The park suggests waiting in the heated Begonia Garden until about 30 minutes after the lights come on, then heading out once the paths clear.
- For a view over the whole display, ride Island Fuji, an observation cabin that rises 45 metres. It runs from lighting-up until 30 minutes before closing, costs extra and takes cash only.
- Spend the ¥1,000 voucher that comes with admission on dinner or souvenirs inside the park — it is part of what you paid for.
- Major Kintetsu stations sell a set ticket that bundles the round-trip train and bus fare with admission and the voucher (not valid Dec 23–25).
- The 2026–27 season runs Oct 17, 2026 to May 31, 2027, closed on Jan 6–7, with the theme changing across autumn, winter and spring.
