Tenjin Christmas Market sits on the plaza on the west side of Fukuoka City Hall. You enter through a Schwibbogen arch from Seiffen, Germany, into a canopy of lights with a video tower and several large trees. Hot wine and German beer are served, and admission is free.
Background
It is one of the Christmas Advent venues that run through central Fukuoka each winter, along with the Hakata Station market and the 'Forest of Light' at Tenjin Central Park.

Fukuoka City Hall is in central Tenjin, a short walk from Tenjin Station and Tenjin-Minami Station on the Fukuoka City Subway.

Tips
- In 2025 it ran November 15 – December 25: weekdays from 3:00 PM (the organizer's press release said 5:00 PM) and weekends from noon, until 11:00 PM. It was closed November 29–30 for another event. 2026 dates had not been announced as of late September.
- Tenjin Central Park, a short walk away, had a free circus show at its 'Forest of Light' in 2025.
- Hakata's market opens two weeks earlier (November 1) if you visit in early November.
